Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this site may earn us a commission, at no extra cost to you.

SHTF Prep is free to read. To cover our costs, some pages may include affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission. The price you pay is the same.

Pages that contain affiliate links say so near the top of the page.

We may take part in affiliate programs for preparedness products such as emergency food, water filters and power stations. This page lists each program we join.

Programs we currently belong to:

• Amazon Associates

What this means for our guidance

• Commissions never change the safety guidance on this site, which comes from official public-health and emergency-management sources.
• We recommend product types based on what official guidance calls for, such as a manual can opener or a battery-powered radio, before any particular brand.
• We don't publish fake or paid reviews or testimonials, and we don't claim to have tested a product unless we did.

We may also show advertising. Advertisers don't influence what we write.
